It's 10 PM, whatcha hungry for?

Ten PM. By now, your guests must be hungry enough to eat anything. No one can resist when you pass around a tray of "Pungent Liver". The recipe doesn't specify to serve with crackers, so maybe guests just eat this with their hands. An especially satisfying taste treat if your guests happen to be labrador retrievers.

This spread is quite the rhapsody in blue. I particular like the large pile of stuff on lettuce in the lower left. Nothing completes a table setting like dusty fake flowers.

Everything is better with jello

Don't show up empty handed to your next key party. A little liquor, a little strawberry jello... How about both together! Matching your jello mold to your outfit makes it extra special. The name of this recipe sounds so regal, it's called Strawberries Romanoff. The ingredients include strawberry gelatin, brandy, and cointreau. Too many of those carefully shaken mixed drinks and this is going to be really scary coming back up. (The New Joys of Jello c. 1973)

Let's Start With a Drink

This happy couple is positively euphoric at the prospect of getting completely hammered. The man's eyes are drifting to a faraway happy place as he utilizes his trusty cocktail shaker. His stepford wife gazes at him in complete awe of his cocktail shaking ability. It's going to be a great night!
According to this supplement from the 1967 Plain Dealer "The successful host today no longer "pours a drink". He serves a variety of skillfully mixed, delicious drinks. It's the new status symbol." So drink up, and impress the neighbors.
